Thank you for the incredible honour of allowing me to serve as your City Councillor for over a decade. It’s been a remarkable journey to witness and be a part of Airdrie’s transformation — growing from a community of 45,900 to more than 85,000 residents.
As one of the fastest-growing municipalities in Alberta, Airdrie is facing both exciting opportunities and complex challenges. I remain deeply committed to addressing these issues with thoughtful leadership, accountability, and a continued focus on what matters most to our community.
As I seek re-election, I’m proud to share the four key platforms that guide my vision for Airdrie’s future:
Advocating for Seniors
Darrell is enthusiastic to ensuring that seniors have access to the support and services they need to live with dignity and independence. He will work to enhance healthcare accessibility, transportation options, and community programs for older adults. Protecting the well-being of seniors remains one of Darrell’s top priorities.
Recreation
Darrell believes recreation is vital for healthy, connected communities. He is dedicated to improving local parks, trails, and recreational facilities for all ages and abilities. Investing in recreation means investing in quality of life.
Affordable Housing
Darrell will continue to push for smart, sustainable housing solutions that keep homes within reach for working low income families and individuals. He supports policies that increase housing supply while preserving community character. Everyone deserves a safe, affordable place to call home.
Responsible Growth
Darrell supports balanced development that respects the environment and the needs of existing neighborhoods. He advocates for infrastructure planning that keeps pace with growth, while ensuring Airdrie has livable, vibrant communities. Responsible growth means building a future that works for everyone.
